Shallon utilizes Equine Assisted Therapy to offer a unique opportunity for children and teens to explore interpersonal issues, increase self-esteem and confidence, and grow in hope and self-efficacy. Shallon believes that relationships with horses reveal underlying strengths and challenges while also empowering individuals to succeed and build healthy relationships. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a powerful form of experiential therapy for youth and teens. Shallon Dusebout Background
After developing a lifelong passion for and expertise with horses, Shallon decided to pursue counseling as a way to help empower others to make positive change in their lives. Shallon completed her Masters at a Christian University because she wants to be able to incorporate faith of any kind into her work. In addition to her equestrian background, Shallon is certified as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, and a Therapeutic Riding Instructor. She is also trained in EMDR to competently and empathically treat those with single incident or complex trauma.
