"During our work together, we will have insightful conversations and explore who you are and what you have been through from a place of compassion and acceptance. You may cry a little and you may laugh at times as well. At the end, you will feel heard and understood."

Ryan's Approach

I work with all clients from a perspective of empathy and respect and customize my approach to the needs of each client. My approach draws from therapeutic perspectives such as Person-centered, Gestalt, and Psychodynamic therapy. I am also passionate about Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), an evidence-based cognitive approach. I incorporate REBT techniques to help clients gain a deeper understanding of the relationship among their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so they have practical tools to make changes in their lives. I believe we often develop patterns that can be self-defeating and even harmful. By changing how we relate to our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and beliefs, we can often change long-held patterns that aren’t working any longer or maybe never have.
