Experiencing trauma can take away who you used to be, and who you want to be. There is healing through trauma. There are opportunities to reconnect with ourselves and walk a new path filled with purpose, joy, and compassion.

My Approach

We tend to use those tools that we know will help us survive. And while we are surviving, we start to miss out on life. We lose contact with others and ourselves. We go through the motions of daily life without experiencing connection or joy. We may feel hopeless, angry, exhausted, and ashamed. During our work together, my hope is that you find yourself in a place of being more centered in the present, developing compassion for yourself, and rekindling creativity and joy.

My Background

I have over fifteen years of experience as a social worker. Most of my experience has involved partnering with survivors of trauma as they navigate the complexities of their experiences, symptoms, and the systems that they might be involved with. As a social worker, I have experienced the heavy impact of this work and understand the importance of a solid support system. I enjoy partnering with helping professionals and first responders in overcoming experiences of secondary trauma and creating sustainable resiliency practices.
