Julie Goldberg

I’m here to give your teen the tools to live a well informed, happy life. I remember what it’s like to feel disconnected as a teenager. Like so many others, I wish someone had provided me with the space to address the normal adolescent experiences that felt so abnormal at the time.

My Approach

I use mindfulness based therapy to create a safe and comforting relationship between me and the client. As a yoga teacher, I weave in simple yoga practices to use outside of the therapy room. And, as an addiction counselor I provide tools to make safe and healthy choices while building up a client’s resiliency before an addiction occurs.

My Background

I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor and completed my graduate degree at Naropa University in Mindfulness Based Counseling. Some of our time will be spent talking, using traditional counseling methods rooted in Gestalt, transpersonal psychology, and mindfulness. I may also incorporate some therapeutic yoga into our time together, giving you simple techniques to practice outside of the therapy room. These are helpful tricks to address some anxiety and depression (which we’ll work on identifying together).
