My Approach

I love working with adolescents and adults as they experience life transitions, stress, depression, and anxiety, and who want to move forward from the past and recover from an addiction. I believe everyone can find hope and healing if they are willing to do the work it takes for them to achieve their goals. Taking a collaborative approach to therapy, I want to help you figure out ways you can manage the stress, anxiety, and depression you are experiencing and find healing from past trauma and addictions. My hope is that you feel safe and comfortable in session to be open and vulnerable so you can begin to find the hope, healing and growth you are looking for.

My Background

I received my Master's in Counseling from Colorado Christian University in 2015 and started working in community mental health which allowed me to obtain my hours for licensure as a professional counselor. During the past several years I have been counseling, I discovered I have a passion for working with individuals who have experienced past trauma which led me to complete the training for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and I have completed the requirements to become an EMDR certified therapist. Seeing how addictions can negatively impact an individual's life and those around them, led me to complete all of the coursework for licensure as an addiction counselor. I am always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow as a therapist so I can better help the people I serve.
