Courtneyrose 's Approach
My approach to therapy integrates research-based lifestyle modifications in conjunction with empirically-validated therapeutic interventions. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma for Adolescents (ITCT-A), and Trauma-Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY). I take into account the mind, body, and spirit of each client and utilize their unique strengths to guide them toward better health, improved self-esteem, emotional recovery, and increased satisfaction in life.
Courtneyrose Chung Background
I earned my Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from the University of Southern California and trained at one of the most progressive centers for trauma-focused treatment and the prevention of child abuse in Los Angeles. Through my work in residential treatment centers in Denver and Los Angeles, I gained extensive experience caring for women with Borderline Personality Disorder and high-risk adolescents. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced and survived acute and complex trauma, with adolescents going through life transitions and experiencing anxiety, depression, and suicidality, and with couples and families in crisis.
