My approach, which is grounded in empirically supported therapies, is integrative and individualized to fit each client’s unique needs, contextual, and cultural factors. I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Exposure-Response Prevention (ERP). I aim to create a warm, genuine, non-judgmental space where clients can feel safe experiencing their emotions, exploring their needs, and developing a life consistent with their goals and core values. I balance creating a supportive space with also compassionately challenging clients to identify factors interfering with their quality of life and to ultimately meet their goals. I often bring laughter and curiosity to the therapy room. I am currently seeing the majority of clients virtually. However, if circumstances necessitate in-person sessions, I am happy to discuss ways to do this safely.
