Candice Dow Background
I am a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado. I obtained my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in At-Risk Youth from MSU Denver. I have experience working with underserved populations through various agencies including private practice, non-profit and County Human Services. I interned with People House for one year, where I obtained my clinical hours to meet graduation requirements.I work from a person-centered, relational-cultural perspective which integrates environmental, cultural and social aspects of your life. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults who are confronted with topics related to trauma, identity, gender, sexuality, interpersonal relationships, multicultural and diversity factors. I am particularly passionate about LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized groups. I believe in advocacy and empowerment within individuals as well as communities.
