"I was born and raised in a small town in Colorado. On my days off I enjoy being outside, playing with my puppy, watching TV, and baking. My desire to learn, grow, and develop within the field of mental health counseling is something that drives me to be the best Play Therapist I can be."

Brittney's Approach

As a counselor I take a humanistic approach to create a compassionate environment that lends to growth and change. My theoretical orientation for counseling and for play therapy is Person/Child-Centered. The role I take as a counselor is very collaborative in nature, supportive, empathic, and non-judgmental. I truly believe that children have within themselves what it takes to overcome the struggles in life, achieve wellness, and can develop resilient factors to help them cope. I promote respect for my clients and have complete confidence in their abilities to direct the process/session. I provide a safe environment where the child can explore emotional and behavioral difficulties and help develop more healthy coping skills to get through the challenges of life. Trying new things can sometimes be scary, and all great things take time. I want you to know that I am right here with you to support you along the way.
