Barb Kamlet
MA, NCC, LPC
Each of us has a story to tell. Our stories often have a sense of loss within them. It might be someone or s.omething outside ourselves and sometimes we've lost who we are. I strongly believe that everyone has a desire to share their stories and to have them heard and honored without judgment.

My Approach
Taking that first courageous step to make an appointment for counseling is the beginning of a process of self-commitment, self-exploration and possibility. I work in collaboration with my clients, believing that each has inner wisdom that often only needs some non-judgmental guidance to be unlocked and accessed.
My Background
I earned my Masters in Counseling from Regis University. I have a previous Masters in non-counseling psychology when I focused on spiritual perspectives and grief and loss. My primary focus is grief and loss, having extensive and specific training in that field. I have developed a number of grief support group curriculums and have presented on them nationally. In addition to my private practice, I am a hospice grief counselor. I am also the Director of Shimmering Wings, a non-profit that provides education and support to individuals who have experienced a childhood death loss. Shimmering Wings is the Colorado partner for Camp Erin, a free weekend camp for grieving children and teens. I am the director of Camp Erin as well as Next PAGE, an overnight camp for adult caregivers of grieving children.
