Therapy ain’t easy. I once said to my therapist, “If I had known that therapy could be this intense, I would have never come here!” It was during a particularly emotional session, and she compassionately held me through it and helped me get to the other side. Now I’ll never leave!

My Approach

If you visit my website, you'll quickly discover that I’m pretty upfront and honest. I like to tell it like it is (in a kind and compassionate way). In our sessions, I will both cheerlead and challenge you. I’m here to help you feel comfortable enough to get a little uncomfortable, strong enough to go to the places you feel weakest, and honest enough to be honest with yourself. As a somatic psychotherapist, I believe the body holds the key to our subconscious, the wealth of information that holds our history, our traumas, and the emotion that bubbles up in all different scenarios. When we tune in and listen to our bodies, we can better understand our experiences, our feelings, and what’s driving our actions. I bring in the somatic piece by encouraging clients to slow down and really notice what’s happening inside of them, which in turn helps them acknowledge their emotions, deepen into their experience, and gain a greater understanding of why they feel the way they do.

My Background

I’m a Naropa University-trained therapist who, just like you, is trying to live her best life. I’ve devoted myself to becoming the best version of me, which I work toward by engaging in my own individual therapy, surrounding myself with nature, and going to Burning Man every year, to name a few. Somewhere along the way in my own journey of self-discovery, I decided I wanted to help others along theirs. Since then, I’ve become a licensed psychotherapist, I’ve opened a private practice, and I’ve learned some pretty rockin’ ways to practice therapy. I've worked with lots of populations, including homeless women, clients with high trauma histories, teens, and low-income clients. One of my specialties is working with young adults (20s and early 30s) who are looking to pave their way in the world, build more fulfilling relationships, and cultivate self-love.
