Tourette Syndrome is a type of tic disorder. Tics are involuntary, repetitive movements and vocalizations. They are the main feature of a group of childhood-onset neurodevelopmental conditions known collectively as Tic Disorders. Individuals living with Tourette syndrome (TS) often face challenges with co-occurring conditions including ADHD, OCD, exhaustion, bullying and uncertainty. Despite these challenges, many individuals with Tourette Syndrome are resilient and lead fulfilling lives. An accurate diagnosis is important in finding the appropriate treatment and support for individuals and their families.
