Hypnotherapy, is a form of hypnosis that uses guided relaxation, focused attention and intense relaxation to achieve a sense of deep calm wherein a person’s attention is narrowed down and focused on appropriate suggestions made by the therapist. Hypnosis is often used as an adjunctive technique to help people with a variety of issues, such as quitting bad habits or coping with anxiety and depression.

Hypnotherapy is a great tool to help with therapy. A common misconception is that you become 'hypnotized' as if I have control over you. That is not at all how it works. You are in total control and very aware of what is going on. It is about helping you get into a state of relaxation in order to bypass your cognitive blockers to get to your subconscious and help you shift perspective.

Hypnotherapy can be helpful when someone is feeling ‘stuck’ in dealing with a particular problem. It's often used to shift habitual thought patterns, such as self-criticism-or to change behaviors, like exercise or diet. It’s valuable in transforming emotional states, such as overcoming depression or building confidence. Clients usually feel very peaceful and uplifted after a hypnotherapy session.
