Coaching
Coaching is typically educational and direct and often focuses on self-exploration, self-knowledge, professional development and performance enhancement. Although often used as a technique in therapeutic sessions, it is not the same a therapy. Coaching is great for helping higher-functioning clients work on their goals for the future. A coach can help you set goals and achieve success in your personal life, career and relationships.

Changing deeply-entrenched habits and ways of thinking requires help. We can’t do it on our own. When you begin to make real change, it’s going to feel very uncomfortable. That’s where I come in. My job as your coach is to help you create a new future. I will not only help you prevent old behaviors but support you in building a new life, new habits, and new ways of thinking.

Coaching is a method to focus on the future. Coaching emphasizes achievements, performance, and sense of where you want to head. Therapy will focus on the past, but coaching is a modality to direct yourself where you want to head. Coaching is applicable for people that want to advance in their careers, or make substantial changes in the trajectory of one's life.
I incorporate coaching with many clients as part of their therapy. This is helpful in identifying priorities and making changes that feel good. In addition to therapeutic training in ADHD, I also have coaching specific training and am a Certified Coach as well. If I have made it this far in life (owning a business, paying bills on time - mostly - maintaining healthy relationships) you can too.
I am a life coach (QSCA), I use exercises and interventions when I consider appropriate for my clients.
